Shalom!שלום This week we read, watched and listened to the story of Giveret Shir (Ms. Song) several times. Giveret Shir has 3 hats, 3 shirts and 3 skirt in her wardrobe. She has to find out in what combination she wears her clothes to be different every day.. We practiced the following words and sentences: Ma hi loveshet? - What is she wearing.? Hi loveset - She wears.... chulza - shirt kova- hat chazait - skirt kahol - blue adom - red tzahov-yellow Watch the story below in two versions. The second one is told by the author: Datya Ben Dor We also played a new game which helped us memorizing the words and practice number recognition in Hebrew. We attached vocabulary cards to bowling puppets, rolled the ball ,collected the puppets which fell on the floor. Recognized both the clothing objects and the numbers. Then we placed the puppets on a corresponding number in the row. Greetings Gan Ramat Gan Families!! Last week the children continued their lessons on space exploration! They are really enjoying every part of this lesson, and I can’t wait to continue to teach this fun and educational science unit. So, last week they helped to make moon sand at one of the tables using flour and baby oil, and then I transferred it to the larger sensory table. They took turns throughout the week (2 at a time) playing at the table using cups, and spoons. I showed them how to make sand domes and castles by packing the sand down into the cups and turning them over. They had a blast! We also started on our moon dioramas as well. They first glued rocks (moon rocks) to the bottom of the box, the next day the painted the entire inside of the box a bluish gray, and added two astronauts, and on Monday we will finish up the dioarama, and start on the next project. Also when you arrive on Monday check out the library area, I made a little planetarium (have to add a few things). I think they will love it!! Last week week we also reviewed our letter recognition and sound, as well as number recognition and sound. Our read-a-louds were mostly related to space with a few exceptions, like pancakes, pancakes, and a few others. It was a very good week! So until next time... Ms. Cindy
