This week we had new activities in the Writing Center, and Ramat Ganians were so enthusiastic about these activities that they often preferred writing over Blocks or Dramatic Play (Kitchen).. They were tracing the letters A, B, C and D with play-dough or with markers.
We also continued to paint. Painting both with water color and tempera is very popular. Come to Gan Ramat Gan and see our beautiful artwork on the walls.

.This week we received great new things in our Centers and we also learned a very cool song in Hebrew.
Blocks We opened wooden blocks, which are beautiful. We learned about the different shapes of the blocks and how to organize them by shapes on the shelves. We built beautiful structures using blocks and our new tool box. We also moved the blocks to the corner so we have a very cozy space with a separate carpet for building our buildings.. Dramatic Play This week one of our groups started to move out from the Kitchen for a picnic, so it gave us the idea to facilitate a real picnic area in our classroom. We have picnic blanket , basket and bulrush mat for the beach. The beach is still missing so if someone has an idea how we can move the Ocean to Gan Ramat Gan, let us know. Art "Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up. " Pablo Picasso That said we stopped coloring ready objects and start to create our own art. This week we added painting to our Art Center. We encourage you to give water paint to your child at home as well and ask open-ended questions about their art. "Do you have a story you want to tell me about your picture?" " Would you like me to write something on your picture?" "Tell me about how you made the blue lines so smooth." Let's try to preserve their imagination and enthusiasm about art. Let me quote from my favorite book, The Little Prince. "I showed my masterpiece to the grown-ups, and asked them whether the drawing frightened them. They answered me: "Why should any one be frightened by a hat?" My drawing was not a picture of a hat. It was a picture of a boa constrictor digesting an elephant. " So let's be afraid of anything they think we should be afraid of. English On Thursday we had English morning meeting with beautiful rhymes and our weather experts could express themselves in details. Ms. Alexander also reads us books in English. Song We learned "Yesh li kubiot katanot" Please check the book bag for vocabulary cards. In case you can't find them you can download the card file below the video.
