A big bad wolf blows down the first two pigs' houses, made of straw and sticks respectively, but is unable to destroy the third pig's house, made of bricks. " source: Wikipedia During our Science investigations, we have been working on constructing and making predictions of what would happen to each of the three little pig's homes if the Big Bad Wolf Blew on the house. After the predictions the Big Bad Wolf arrived and blew the straw house. Click here to see Ms. Alexander , the Big Bad Wolf and us being brave. We learned about other different buildings and constructed tepees and igloos with Ms. Alexander. We reread the Tales of Five Balloons in Hebrew with Ms. Anna. And made our own balloon book with a red balloon - balon adom a green balloon - balon yarok a yellow balloon - balon tzahov a blue balloon - balon kahol and a purple balloon - balon sagol We played different card/ bingo games and practiced the following words. mother - ima father - aba grandfather - saba grandmother -savta dog - kelev cat - chatul brother - ach sister - achot We played Math games and practiced quantifying both in English and in Hebrew. We constructed houses by gluing different geometric shapes on a paper. Moments of the past two weeks: Song of the Month about 1-2-3-4-5 children under one umbrella. |
