Shalom!שלום This is how we prepared for the big day: We made our suitcases (mizvada) and packed them with clothes. We packed our passports, boarding cards and flags for the trip as well. We arrived to the airport early in the morning, where we had check in and security. We followed the procedure in Hebrew. We boarded the plain at 8:40. After a small snack and safety video , we landed in Israel. We visited the Galilee , the Hermon, Jerusalem and Tel - Aviv. See our adventures below.

Shalom!שלום We continued to learn more about food in Hebrew. Played bingo and memory game with food items. We prepared our own plates from a Hebrew Menu. We learned a new song about an apple (tapuach) which fell off the tree in the wind. Listen to the song and try to sing along. ruach ruach ruach - wind wind wind pardes - orchard naphal - fell mi-rosh haetz -from the top of the tree Greetings Gan Ramat Gan Families!! Last week on the English side of things, the children have continued working on Fundations (Letter recognition & letter sounds), and of course math skills(counting, number recognition). We have also focused a lot of attention on our store...which will named: The “Gan Ramat Corner grocery store”. As our unit is focused on Food, the children are and will be learning about the different food groups, where food comes from, the five senses, what foods should be represented on their plates during meal times, and some of their own favorite foods. One of my questions last week asked them to tell me what their favorite foods were...and here are they’re own answers. 1. Andre - pizza (with onions on it) 2. Breakfast (pancakes, eggs, bacon) 3. Ari - spaghetti 4. Max - French fries 5. Isabel- beef, mashed potatoes, corn 6. Maddie - pizza (cheese), Popeyes 7. Prashant - pizza 8. Dylan - pizza 9. Nathanael - Apples, and chick-fil-a 10. Leah - McDonalds 11. Ava - pizza 12. Collin - pizza and Mac & cheese 13. Molly - pancakes 14. Malicah - chicken nuggets 15. Valentina - pizza and broccoli 16. Joelle - spaghetti noodles, grout, and pie 17. Ms. Cindy- Seafood 18. Ms. Anna - Quinoa with vegetables I’m not sure if these are true facts, as you would know more about their favorite foods, but they enjoyed coming up with these and watching me write it up on the dry erase board... very happy and proud. Next week we will continue to add to our grocery store(need more purses, ads and wallets), and create math and writing activities that revolve around food. Until next time...
